The desired applicant for this position will have a solid understanding of network analysis, scripting, CNO/CNA/CND, incident response and industry best security practices as they pertain to IC and covert networks.  

Motivated self starter with an analytical focus, problem solving skills, time management skills, and a passion for coumputer, network or cyber security. 

Experience performing network packet inspection, traffic analysis, performance characterization (e.g. Wireshark, TCPdump, etc.)

Understanding of network/cyber security, penetration testing, and information security practices. 

Hands on experiences writing scrips for automation, parsing data sets, and network monitoring (e.g. bash, Perl, Python, etc.)

Hands on experience with Linux network security tools - (e.g. Metasploit, BurpeSuite, nmap, IPTables and SELinux etc.)

Proficiency working in a Linux environment and the ability to decipher their logs - (Centos, Ubuntu, Kali). 

Ability to work with relevant stakeholders to engage in joint project planning and execution.  

Knowledge of computer network operations, Agency networks and industry best security policies and procedures for IC networks. 

Hands on experience with network logging and monitoring tools such as Cisco Network Analysis Module, SPLUNK, LogRhythm & Solarwinds. 

Experience conducting incident response to include: research and identification of attack vector, malware mitigation and removal, and documentation of event. 

Experience and ability to research the latest security developments in the relevant operating systems to identify organizational impact. 

Experience implementing security standards in a fast pace operational environment.
